About The Bracket Challenge

Max is 3 and he has hemophilia, which is a relatively rare and extremely serious bleeding disorder. He also loves basketball, and this year he picked his first NCAA Tournament bracket: Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, American and Duke, with Milwaukee beating Duke in the title game. (Perhaps he should have stuck with Superman!)

We decided to have a little fun with this year’s challenge, as we are planning to donate $100 for every team Max gets right in his Final Four. We hope others will join in the spirit of March Madness coinciding with National Hemophilia Awareness Month and add a little of their own fun to his bracket challenge. Good luck with the tournament challenge. Or as Max said… “Best brackets!”

About Max

Max will turn 4 years old on April 14. He was diagnosed with moderate hemophilia A at around nine months old and has been wearing a helmet and kneepads ever since. Max loves trains, cars, super heroes and basketball. He says he wants to grow up to be a sportswriter like his dad, and cover the Philadelphia 76ers.
Max’s sister, Zoe, is 6 and has been picking brackets for various sports websites since before she was 2. This year was Max’s first attempt at picking the brackets. He loved it! Watch them picking brackets below:
