Emily was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in May 2010. She relapsed in October 2011 and again in February 2012. She was the first pediatric patient in the world to receive an experimental T-cell therapy as part of a Phase I clinical trial at CHOP in April 2012 and has been in remission since May 2012.

Our family's motto is "We Believe". Emily would not be here today if it wasn't for the brilliant doctors and amazing medical staff at CHOP. We saw firsthand how CHOP saves lives every day. We believe they will find a cure for cancer!
