On Monday September 28th, 2013 our 5 year old son Ryan Cromwell had severe stomach pain and was lethargic. After several trips to the ER and Doctor's office, a CT scan on November 7th revealed Ryan had a large mass in his pelvis. We immediately brought him to CHOP. After four days of many tests and biopsies it was determined that he had stage 3 Burkitt's Lymphoma. Ryan endured months of chemotherapy, spinal taps and surgeries. On February 19th, 2014 we got the amazing news that his cancer was now in remission! We couldn't be more grateful to the wonderful Dr.'s and nurses at CHOP Cancer Center who saved our sons life!!! We would now love to continue to pay it forward and donate money to CHOP so they can continue to save children's lives.

What a great cause. RedEye, Inc. is sponsoring burpee-loving folks this Saturday at CrossFit Mercer and pledging up to 50 per burpee. No cap. Any Crossfitters or people who just want to try out some burpees on Saturday, we're not capping the donation. Bring it.

Ryan - You persevered mentally and physically through months of chemotherapy, surgeries, and spinal taps. You're definitely a hero in my book. On Saturday, I'll be attempting to do one mile of burpee-to-broad jumps in your honor. It will be incredibly tough (since I've never even tried a 1/4 or 1/2 mile before), but I'm going to give it my all because it doesn't even come close to what you've endured. I'll be thinking of you as I make my way around that track four times, very slowly.
