Benefiting The Center for Childhood Cancer Research

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is home to the Center for Childhood Cancer Research (CCCR), one of largest and most renowned pediatric cancer research programs in the nation, impacting children from all over the world. The goal of CCCR is to find new treatments and cures for all childhood cancers through highly-integrated basic, translational and clinical research. In the lab and in the clinic, our collaborative approach sets us apart from other centers. All of our cancer physicians are researchers — our clinicians are constantly thinking of ways to apply research immediately to improve treatments for patients. We have more than 50 investigators from a variety of programs including Oncology, Hematology, Pathology, Neurology, Neurosurgery and Radiation Oncology.

Our Brain Tumor program is one of the largest in the U.S., seeing more than 200 new patients each year. Our excellence in this area is the primary reason why our Honorary Chairs, Kristen and Richard Gillette, chose to partner with CHOP. Named in memory of their daughter, The Kortney Rose Foundation helps support the search for genetic causes of pediatric brain tumors. We are proud to have The Kortney Rose Foundation as the Presenting Sponsor of the 2011 "All in for Kids" Poker Tournament.
