Community Outreach
When it was founded in 1855, Children's Hospital planted strong roots in Philadelphia. CHOP maintains those roots today through community programs that improve the health and well-being of disadvantaged children throughout the Delaware Valley. Such programs aim to teach children healthy eating and exercise habits, improve literacy, manage asthma, and bring healthcare services to children living in homeless shelters, to name just a few. CHOP collaborates with foundations, corporations, local government, community leaders and other stakeholders to expand access to healthcare services with the goal of developing healthier, safer, better informed neighborhoods.
Contributions from corporate and foundation partners enable CHOP's community programs to remain dedicated and effective. There are several opportunities to support the Hospital and get more involved in the community—both promoting your brand and presenting a good public image, and improving the lives and futures of children in the Philadelphia area who face enormous challenges every day.
